Patient safety is an important component of the quality of care framework that ensures safer health service delivery to the patients and minimizes risk. Creating a patient safety culture practice within the health settings is a prime need for each health care set ups. Leaders are to guide and develop such culture in accordance with the patient’s comfort. It’s crucial to develop
national patient safety standards, trace happenings on unsafe care practices or adverse events and develop interventions that reduce these events.
Patient safety is an integral part of quality of care and includes initiatives designed to reduce medical errors thus making healthcare safer.
